About CADE:
CADE is a locally run and
managed, non-profit-making, voluntary organisation whose aim is to promote
global education throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and to raise
public awareness of sustainable development and all those issues concerning
the relationship between wealthy and poor countries. It offers development
education materials for reference, loan or sale and runs continuing
professional development / in-service training for teachers and training for
youth, adult and community educators. It works with local educational
institutions to advise them on how to incorporate a global perspective into
their curriculum and practice. CADE was established in the late 1990s. It is
managed by a Committee with nine members and employs one part-time
Coordinator (post currently vacant).
